Two years after opening our every own YouTube channel we have reached a massive milestone: 100.000 views on all of the videos we’ve made these past two years. According to our YouTube statistics this means that our videos have been watched for a total of 124 days, continiously. To put that in perspective: if your job was to watch Intel Pack4DreamHack videos for 8 hours straight, every day, you’d be working for atleast a year before you watched enough of our videos to match this number. A massive result for us and we are looking forward to our next milestone: 200.000 views.
In the past two years we made some pretty cool productions, here is a top 3 of our favorites and most popular YouTube videos. These are based on production value and of course views:
3) DreamHack Battlefield
This video was the creative project of our videoteam from Intel Pack4DreamHack Winter 2011. The guys, Marlon, Angelo, Toine and Tim, got some help from the local airsoft guys to built a video mimicking the Battefield 3 game, which was hugely popular at that moment. Using After Effects, Premiere and Photoshop they made an amazing intro to the movie, following it up with a little bit of explaining about the airsoft field and a shootout filmed with a GoPro Hero camera.
2) DJ Hance @ DreamHack Winter 2011
Over the past years we always brought a DJ with us to DreamHack. DJ Hance, a club DJ from the Netherlands, got quite a following over the years at DreamHack. To celebrate our DJ, our video crew always makes a little video about his performance and,of course, us Dutchies dancing frantically to it. This video is special partly because of the amazing footage we got from a GoPro strapped to Hance’s chest. It makes for a very special view of the DJ deck all the while rocking the DreamHack Mainstage.
1) The DreamHack Network
The DreamHack Network has been, up until now, the one video that took the longest to film and edit. A total of 14 hours of editing and filming went into this 12 minute badboy and it was worth it. The video contains an interview with the Network Crew from DreamHack and tries to explains how the 10.000 computer temporary network is built, how the network security is built and so on. It was shot in the Summer of 2011 but is still being used by that same Network Crew to explain the network of DreamHack, even with the chances the crew made in the past editions. We actually got featured with this video on the biggest IT-related website in the Netherlands: Tweakers.net!
