Let the games begin!
After about 12.000 gamers found their places and plugged in their computers, the excitement started building. Even though most of them already started gaming, and drinking energy drinks (of course), they were all still waiting for the official kick off.
So around 4 pm we were told to go to area D. When we got there I was shocked. Area D is a gigantic area with even more gamers, and more computers than I have ever seen. All surrounded by soda cans and fast food, some decorated with Christmas lights. And at one end of the hall a big stage in-between two big video screens.
On the screens a clock, counting down, 5 minutes left.
More and more people came down the escalators. Most of them holding their phones or camera’s up to record the whole thing.
3 minutes left.
