Hardstyle is popular in Sweden, very popular. Especially for the visitors at DreamHack, the harder styles really seem to be ‘it’ in terms of music. With acts like the Noisecontrollers and Headhunterz, DreamHack really has stepped up their game in recent years. Even we brought a hardstyle DJ (Dixz) last Winter to DreamHack! This Summer however, DreamHack is going all out. Not just with one big name, but actually two big names from the hardstyle scene.
The first to perform is Adrenalize. This upcoming artist from Denmark will play on Saturday the 15th of June on the DreamHack Mainstage:
“Malthe Mehlskov, aka Adrenalize is the definition of being a rising star. Born in the outskirts of Copenhagen, Denmark in 1996 makes him the youngest artist in the Scantraxx roster. Malthe was only 10 when he began to play around with a few simple music-making programs, and his passion for music has grown ever since. When everybody else was playing computer games he was putting samples together.”

The second, and most famous of the two is of course Frontliner. Some Dutch pride for this DJ, being one of the most influential names in the hardstyle scene in recent years. He will play the Mainstage on Monday the 17th of June.
“Hardstyle DJ and producer Frontliner (Barry Drooger) is well known for his versatile approach to the genre. His album Producers Mind (2011) is a showcase of versatility and recent monster hits such as ‘Halos’ and ‘I’m The Melodyman’ are direct proof of his skills to both feel and surprise his fans. And while he normally makes his appearance high above the crowd, on just about every known mainstage, he is very much ‘one of the guys’.
This fueled thoughts for his 2012 campaign where he experiments with crowd fueled participation into his music, events and artist career.”
