Hi Gaming freaks, my name is Marco Verbeeck A.K.A. “Mephisto”, clan-leader of the 666-gamers. most people know me as the Crazy Belgian guy whit the big cool-box on the bus. This is already my fourth Dreamhack experience, and I like it very much. Since we discovered the Intel Pack4DreamHack method to go actually to the biggest LAN-party in the world in Sweden called “DreamHack”, we didn’t hesitate to list us in the group and travel with our Dutch friends to Sweden. After a long road trip and two boat ferry’s we finally see the majestic building of Elmia Exhibition and Convention Centre at 06:30 in the morning.

When you arrive, you already see people who are camping in front of the building. To see that, you realize how lucky we are that we already have the wristband to enter the biggest LAN-event in the world. Here at DreamHack, the feeling of a world full of fantasy is coming right to you the moment you enter the building. The Cosplayers make it more real when they dress up to their favorite character. Everywhere you walk you see booths of the sponsors, food stands, shops and more. My place is located in B-Hal. DreamHack gives about 20.000 gamers the chance to come and feel the gathering of people who share the same hobby and prove that gamers are not anti social.

When you arrive at your pointed seat and your gear is settled you must explore the four Halls that DreamHack prepared for all of us. Hall D is where the main stage is located and is the biggest hall. When you check out the line-up on the site, you can follow what is going on at DreamHack. You can also stay in your seat and watch it all on DreamHack.tv. At different times some bands and DJ’s fill up the D hall with beats and sounds, from dubstep to hardrock. Also, the opening of DreamHack is a masterpiece! You feel the beats in every fiber of your body and the fireworks on main stage is absolutely fantastic. Then you get the feeling that DreamHack is starting for the 72 hours of non-stop gaming, and making new European friends.

For me, DreamHack is the best! I hope to see you all back at DreamHack Summer 2014, of course with all of my fellow packers 😉
