Sweden, are you ready?

So here I am, preparing myself at the last moments for Dreamhack… The slightest thought about me going to Sweden gives me goose bumps all over my body. There are a few reasons why I think anyone should visit Dreamhack or Sweden in general. I’ll line my reasons up for you!

Reasons to go to Sweden/Dreamhack:

• It is the biggest LAN on the globe and any LAN participant should experience such a huge amount of competition and fun.
• The amazingly kind and often fun to hang around with people from Sweden. They like to party, show you the places where to be and most of them are as proud of their Swedish women as we are!
• Touring in a bus to Sweden for 20 hours with excited gamers, press and professional gamers. Who doesn’t want to see what will happen on the way and on Dreamhack itself? There has to be a lot of fun waiting for us on the other side!

There are a few things that disappoint me about Sweden like the prices of alcohol and train rides, although this isn’t a problem by itself because I will just buy some alcohol in Holland, it still limits me to the amount of drinking I can do when I’m going out there. Maybe this is better for me and limits me from actually walking around like some drunk fool, probably won’t happen but would be fun to see at least, right?  The question would rather be, is Sweden ready for the fun and sociability which we are all bringing with us?!

Plans for the event

My friend Tim and me arranged ourselves a camera so we can make our own clips of events which we will experience on our stay in Sweden, hopefully there’s some pure comedy involved! We’re hoping to use some of these clips in our World Of Warcraft arena movie we’re making, I always hoped making a proper one and I’m sure the IRL clips of Dreamhack will contribute to that!

Anyways, I’m already packing my bags and making sure I won’t forget anything. I’m so thrilled to finally meet up friends I’ve known for years and experience the all-time great country of Sweden with all his aspects it has to offer.

I’ll try and log some more material for a new upcoming blog entry, I’m pretty sure that the trip to Dreamhack and the LAN itself will give me enough fun facts and information to make another one.
