So we’re only halfway through the event, but my work is done and I get to kick back and really enjoy it. Doing commentary on the StarCraft 2 tournament from the BYOC area is both intense and unique. The amount of noise generated by a crowd this size can be immense at times! And they’re all here because they share a passion for video games. I have to thank the Intel Pack4DreamHack crew for making it possible to host my coverage from here.
The broadcasting went well, I peaked over 2700 viewers at one time, so that’s quite nice. I get to look back at a successful showing, in part because I was able to present the amazing atmosphere here. It was hard work but with that comes a rewarding experience.
This means that the last day I get to see more of the event. I’ll get to watch the finals of the tournaments and just this night I’ve already met with half a dozens of old friends and met a dozen more people that I regularly interact with online. It’s really cool to put a face to the people that you talk to online. I’m looking forward to tomorrow and if you’re back home, I only have one question for you: why are you not here?!
